DDB: The best way to describe the iPad is as a Consumption Device. The iPhone is a communication device, and Macbooks/iMacs are information production devices. The iPad is designed for the consumer to take in media and information, to interact with it in light way. I like what David Carr (NYT) said that is was like a window to the applications, the hardware is transparent.
